Goodbye CN Tower
Check out this photo of the CN Tower while being built during the mid 70s. Without a doubt the most defining feature on the city skyline, I couldn’t imagine a CN Tower-less Toronto. This photo is from the City of Toronto Archives but was shot from the 401 (which is quite a way’s away). The tower was the tallest freestanding structure in the world until the construction of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai opened earlier this year.
When will the CN Tower have to be demolished? It will be condemned as ‘unsafe’ soon, in our lifetimes… I wonder how expensive it will be to demolish this unique building?
